Our History

The front part of the building with its monumental façade was built in 1900 as a residential house.

It was then used as a Jewish retirement home “Beth Shalom” until 1943. At the end of the 40's it was used as a boarding house for KLM employees.

After several names like Hotel Plantage we see the name Lancaster for the first time in 1980. The hotel was expanded in 1980 with the building at the Plantage Westermanlaan. In 2018 we expect to extend the hotel with the building on Plantage Middenlaan 46
